Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activities are to provide investment management, investment product underwriting and distribution. Its other services include shareholder services administration to the Waddell & Reed Advisors Funds, the W&R Mutual Funds, the W&R Target Funds Inc and managed institutional and separate accounts. The Group operates through three distribution channels: the Advisors channel, the Wholesale channel and the Institutional channel. In the Advisors channel, the Group sales force focuses its efforts on the sale of investment products advised by the Group. Wholesale channel efforts include retail fund distribution through broker/dealers, registered investment advisors and retirement platforms. Through its Institutional channel, the Group manages assets for defined benefit pension plans, other investment companies defined contribution plans, endowments and high net worth clients. The Group operates in the United States. |
