| The Group's principal activity is to operate a chain of supermarkets. It operates a chain of 23 supermarkets under the name and trademark of ShopRite. The Group is a member of Wakefern Food Corporation, a retailer-owned food cooperative and owner of the ShopRite name. Food products include dairy and frozen foods, meats, produces, prepared foods and seafood. Non food items consist of pharmaceuticals, cut flowers, health and beauty aids, greeting cards, videocassette rentals and small appliances. The Group also operates one liquor store. 16 supermarkets are located in northern New Jersey, 6 in the southern shore area of New Jersey and 1 in north eastern Pennsylvania. |
