It operates in two segments: Internet Infrastructure and Identity Services which consists of Naming Services, Secure Socket Layer ("SSL") Certificate Services, Identity and Authentication Services ("IAS"), and VeriSign Japan. Other Services, which represents continuing operations of non-core businesses and legacy products and services from divested businesses. It operates in North America, Europe, Australia, Latin America, South Africa and Japan. On October 01 2008 it acquired Global Name Registry Limited.
