The Group's principal activity is to produce and sell ethanol and its co-products. Its operating segments are Ethanol Production and All Other. The Ethanol Production segment includes the operations of VeraSun Aurora Corporation and VeraSun Fort Dodge LLC and ethanol plants under construction or in development of VeraSun Charles City LLC, VeraSun Welcome LLC, VeraSun Hartley LLC, VeraSun Hartley LLC and VeraSun Granite City. All other segment includes groups all other activities. It owns and operates two production facilities in the United States, with a combined ethanol production capacity of 560 million gallons per year. The Group utilizes current dry-milling technology. It also produces and sells wet distillers grains with solubles and dried distillers grains with solubles as ethanol co-products. The Group operates in the United States.
