The Group's principal activities are carried out through its Copper, Zinc, Aluminium, Iron and Other divisions. Copper comprises copper ore mining, smelting and refining operations in India and Australia. Zinc comprises zinc-lead mining and smelting operations. Aluminium comprises bauxite mining, alumina refining and aluminium smelting operations. Iron mines and produces ore in India. The Group's other activities mainly focuses on energy and gold. During 2007, the Group acquired the entire share capital of Finsider International Company Ltd.
