Voestalpine Vae Apcarom SA, formerly Vae Apcarom SA, is a Romania-based company primarily active in the production of turnout systems and turnout components for railroads. The Company is the supplier of turnouts for Romanian Railway and for Bucharest subway, as well as a partner for local tramway enterprises and for industrial lines. Its main activity is the production of turnouts, crossings, fastenings and locking devices, which are distributed nationally and internationally, in Croatia, Greece, Slovenia, Austria, the United States and Taiwan, among others. Additionally, the Company is active in the production of sleeper screws, which are distributed in Netherlands, Spain, Lithuania, Austria, Denmark, Croatia and Slovenia. As of December 31, 2011, Vae GmbH Austria held a 92.92% stake in Vae Apcarom SA.
