| The Group's principal activity is to manufacture and market steel wire rods and wire and wire ropes. The Group operates in three segments: Wire and Wire Ropes, Steel and Other. The Wire and Wire Ropes include steel wires, strands, cord, bright bars, wire ropes and related accessories. The Steel segment includes steel wire rods, rolled products, billets, pig iron and allied products. Other includes wire drawing and allied machines, jelly filled telecommunication cables, splicing tools, crimping tools, accessories and investment in securities. In 2008, the Group acquired De Ruiter Staalkabel BV. |
