The Group's principal activity is to provide commercial air transportation services designed to transport passengers, property and mail throughout the United States and abroad. It operates through two reporting segments: Mainline and United Express. Its principal subsidiary, United Airlines Inc, operates more than 3,000 flights a day on United, United Express and Ted to more than 200 US domestic and international destinations from its hubs in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Chicago and Washington DC. In addition, it has key global air rights in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe and Latin America.
