| The Group's principal activity is production of glass and chemicals. It operates in five main segments: Flat Glass, Household Glass, Glass Packaging, Chemicals and Other. The Flat Glass includes laminated, coated and enameled glass and mirrors; the Household Glass covering automatic and hand-made glassware, borosilicate glass and crystal ware products, as well as glassware retail services and paper packaging; the Glass packaging involved in the manufacture of glass containers, bottles and molds for glass containers and glassware; the chemicals group, responsible for soda ash, chromium chemicals, sand and limestone production, and insurance intermediary services group, providing foreign trade and insurance services. Its operations are run by various Group companies, including Trakya Cam, Pasabahce Cam, Anadolu Cam and Soda Sanayii A.S. The Group also has affiliates in such countries as Russia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Egypt, Bosnia and the United Kingdom. |
