| The Group's principal activity is to provide advance positioning product solutions to commercial and government users. It operates in four segments. Engineering and Construction segment provides hardware and software product solutions used by survey and construction professionals. Field Solutions segment provides solutions for agriculture and fixed asset applications. Advanced Device segment includes the product lines from Component Technologies, Applanix, Trimble Outdoors, and Military and Advanced Systems (MAS) businesses. Mobile Solution segment provides solutions for vehicles and mobile workers by providing both hardware and software for managing mobile work, mobile workers and mobile assets. It operates in the United States, Europe, Middle East Africa and Asia. On 28-Nov-2008 the goup acquired FastMap and GeoSite software assets and on Nov-2008 it acquired Callidus Precision Systems GmbH. |
