| The Group's principal activity is to provide the supply of high quality products and services to the private label and food services industries. The Group operates in three segments: North American Retail Grocery segment sells branded and private label products to customers within the United States and Canada and its brands include Farman's(R), Nalley's(R), Peter Piper (R), and Steinfeld(R) Bennet's(R), Hoffman House(R), Roddenbery's Northwoods(R) and San Antonio Farms(R). Food Away From Home segment sells non-dairy powdered creamers, pickle products, salsas, aseptic and refrigerated products, and sauces to food service customers, restaurant chains and food distribution companies. Industrial and Export segment includes its co-pack business and non-dairy powdered creamer sales to industrial customers for use in industrial applications. It operates its business as Bay Valley Foods LLC in (Bay Valley) in the United States and E.D Smith Foods LTD (E.D Smith) in Canada. |
