| The Group's principal activity is operating a chain of retail entertainment stores of compact discs, prerecorded audiocassette, prerecorded videocassettes, digital versatile discs and related accessories. It operates four distinct store concepts, FYE (For Your Entertainment) stores, super FYE stores, FYE Movie stores and FYE Games store. It also operates four retail Web sites including, www.fye.com, www.suncoast.com, www.wherehouse.com, and www.secondspin.com, which offer substantially the same complement of products as offered in its stores. As of 31-Jan-2009, the Group operated 712 stores totaling approximately 4.6 million square feet in the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. |
