TransContainer OJSC

Tsentr po perevozke gruzov v konteynerakh TransKonteyner OAO (TransKonteyner OAO or Center for cargo container traffic TransContainer OJSC ) is a Russia-based company active within the railway transportation industry. Its main activities are the organization of container cargo shipment along domestic and foreign traffic routes, transportation and forwarding. The Company is also involved in the provision of freight trucking, terminal handling and door-to-door delivery services. Its sales network comprises 150 offices in the Russian Federation, the Commonwealth of Independent States countries, Europe and Asia. The Company operates through numerous branches located domestically, as well as six subsidiaries in such countries as: Slovakia, Korea, Austria, the Russian Federation, Luxembourg and Virgin Islands. TransKonteyner OAO also has three affiliated companies in Finland, China and Kazakhstan. As of January 27, 2011, the Company’s major shareholder was RZhD OAO, with a stake 50%.
