The Group owns 49.99% interest in TransAlta Cogeneration LP (TA Cogen). TA Cogen generates and distributes electrical energy, steam and other thermal energy to Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation, Dow Chemical Canada Inc and Boeing Canada Inc. TA Cogen also supplies thermal energy to member hospitals and treatment centres of the Ottawa Health Sciences Centre, National Defense Medical Centre and Perley Hospital.
