The Mercantile Investment Trust plc is an investment trust. The Company’s investment objective is to provide long term capital growth from a portfolio of the United Kingdom medium and smaller companies. It invests not more than 15% of gross assets in other the United Kingdom listed investment companies, including investment trusts. It invests in sectors, such as consumer services, financials, industrials, consumer goods, oil and gas, technology, basic materials, utilities, telecommunications and healthcare. JPMorgan Asset Management (UK) Limited (JPMAM) manages the assets of the Company. The Company’s benchmark is the FTSE All-Share Index excluding constituents of the FTSE 100 Index and investment trusts.
