The Group's principal activity is to provide global information services, which serve financial services, education and business information markets with information products and services. The Group operates in three segments. The Financial Services segment consists of Standard & Poor's operations, which provide financial information, valuations, ratings and analysis, enabling access to capital markets. The McGraw-Hill Education segment provides publishing services to the elementary high school, college and university, professional and international markets. The Information and Media Services segment includes business and professional media offering information, insight and analysis.
