The Group's principal activities are developing, producing and marketing chemicals, systems and services. The Group operates two segments: Lubricant Additives & Lubrizol Advanced Materials. The Lubrizol Additives segment is the leading global supplier of additives for transportation and industrial lubricants. The Lubrizol Advanced Materials segment represents a diverse portfolio of performance chemicals used in consumer and industrial applications. Products include Carpool(R)acrylic thickeners, film formers, fixatives, emollients, silicones, Yard(R) reactive liquid polymers, rubber and lubricant antioxidants, AD EX(R) specialty emulsifiers for mining explosives etc. It markets its lubricant and fuel additives products worldwide through its own direct sales organization. In Dec 2008, The Group acquired The Dow Chemical Company (Dow).
