The Group's principal activity is to operate pharmacy chain in Canada. As of 28-Feb-2009 the Group operates with 353 franchised stores in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick. It is also involved in franchising activities that includes operation of two distribution centers and providing services to its PJC stores. The Group operates in the North American drugstore retailing industry in Eastern Canada through franchised drugstores under the banners of PJC Jean Coutu, PJC Sante Beaute and PJC Clinique.
