| The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture, market and distribute tires and rubber products. The Group also provides automotive repair and other services at retail and commercial outlets. Tire segment consist of North America Tire, European Union Tire, Africa and Middle East Tire, Latin American Tire and Asia Pacific Tire. The products include lines of power transmission belts, hoses, rubber products for transportation industry and rubber-related chemicals for various applications. As of Dec 2007, the Group operated more than 1,800 tire and auto service centers. The Group has operations in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Canada, England, Luxembourg, Germany and France. The Group's trademarks include Goodyear and Dunlop. On 31st July 2007 the Company the sale of substantially all the business activities of Engineered products business segment. |
