The Group's principal activities are newspaper publishing, television, and licensing and syndication. It operates in five segments. The Newspaper business segment includes daily and community newspapers. Television includes six ABC-affiliated stations, three NBC-affiliated stations and one independent. The Licensing and other media aggregates operating segments that are too small to report separately, and primarily includes syndication and licensing of news features and comics.
