The Group's principal activities are to provide conventional commercial banking and Islamic banking services as well as credit card business. The Group also acts as a holding company for its subsidiaries engaged in credit card business in Middle East countries. The Group operates under four segments: Conventional Banking, Islamic Banking, Orient 1 and Investment in associates. Conventional banking provides funded and non funded credit facilities, Islamic Banking provides Islamic principles (Sharia) compliant baking services, Orient 1 a subsidiary of the Bank provides credit card services and Investment in associates includes the Group's strategic acquisitions. The Group operates through its head office and branches established in Qatar, GCC countries, Europe and North America.
