Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Group's principal activities are to provide conventional commercial banking and Islamic banking services as well as credit card business. The Group also acts as a holding company for its subsidiaries engaged in credit card business in Middle East countries. The Group operates under four segments: Corporate Banking and Capital Market, Consumer Banking, Alsafa Islamic Banking and Orient 1. Under Corporate Banking and Capital Market it provides it services to the corporate, commercial and multinational customers. Under Consumer Banking the Group provides its services to retail and individual customers. Under Alsafa Islamic Banking the Group provides Islamic principles (Sharia) compliant banking services to corporate and commercial customers. Under Orient 1 the Group provides credit card services in the regional markets. The Group operates through its head office and branches established in Qatar, GCC countries, Europe and North America. |
