Thomson Financial Business Description:
| The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust. The objective of the Company is to provide long-term capital appreciation for its investors through investment in companies operating in emerging markets or whose stocks are listed on the stock markets of such countries. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 266 of the Companies Act 1985. The Company has been approved by the HM Revenue & Customs as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 30-Apr-2006. Investment management services are provided by Templeton Asset Management Ltd for an annual rate of 1.00% of the trading net assets of the Company payable monthly in arrears. The agreement is terminable by either party giving one year's notice. |
