The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and market drug delivery and surface modification technologies for the healthcare industry. The Group operates in three segments: The Drug Delivery segment contains the Drug Delivery business unit, which is responsible for technologies dedicated to site specific delivery of drugs. Hydrophilic and other contains Hydrophilic Technologies unit that provides enhancing medical devices with advanced lubricious coatings that facilitate their placement and maneuverability in the body. The In Vitro segment contains the In Vitro Technologies business unit. The major customers of the Group include Cordis Corporation, Abbot Laboratories and GE Healthcare. In July 2007, the Group acquired Brookwood Pharmaceuticals Inc and in August 2007, it acquired BioFx Lab Inc.
