| The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and selling chemical products, namely acrylic acid (AA) and acrylate esters (AE). The Group has an annual production of estimated 205,000 tonnnes of acrylic acid and 250,000 tonnes of acrylate esters as at end 2007. AA and AE are the fundamental ingredients used in the production of industrial and consumer products such as coatings, diapers, textiles and detergent. The Group's also produces and sells PMIDA (N-phosphonomethyl Iminodiacetic Acid), an intermediate chemical product used mainly in glyphosate (a type of herbicide). The Group currently has over 500 customers located in the People's Republic of China, Asia, Middle East, Europe, and North and South America. The Group's operations are carried out in the People's Republic of China. |
