| The Group's principal activity is manufacturing of chemicals. The operations are carried out through the following divisions: Petrochemicals, Basic Chemicals, IT-Related Chemicals, Agrochemicals, Phamaceuticals, Fine Chemicals and Other. The Basic chemicals division is involved in supply of basic materials to various industries ranging from consumer goods to high-tech including inorganic and organic industrial chemicals, composite materials, polymethyl methacrylate resin and sheets, and aluminum. The Petrochemicals division deals with supply of many kinds of petrochemical products including organic chemicals, plastics such as low-density polyethylene and polypropylene, and synthetic rubber. The IT-related chemicals include optically functional films for liquid crystal displays, high-purity chemicals for the electronics industry, photoresists for IC manufacturing, epoxy resins for IC encapsulation and super-engineering plastics. |
