The Group's principal activity is to design, manufacture and sell firearms and precision investment castings. It operates through two segments: firearms and investment castings. The Firearms segment manufactures and sells rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers to independent wholesale distributors. The Investment casting segment manufactures and sells titanium and ferrous investment castings to a wide variety of markets including sporting goods, commercial and military use. Sportsmen, hunters, law enforcement and other governmental organizations and gun collectors use the products offered by the Group. The Group sells its firearms under the trademark Ruger. It operates in the United States.
