The Group's principal activity is steel manufacturing. It produces steel primarily from steel scrap using electric arc melting furnaces, continuous casting and automated rolling mills. It owns and operates three steelmaking mini-mills. It has three segments: steel operations, steel fabrication operations and metals recycling and ferrous resources operations. The Steel Operations includes flat roll division, structural and rail division, and bar division. Steel fabrication operations include New Millennium Building Systems' plants. The Metals recycling and ferrous resources operations includes metals recycling, and processing operations. All Other consist of further processing, slitting, and sale of certain steel products and the resale of certain secondary and excess steel products. Its products are used in the automotive, construction and commercial industries. It operates in the United States.
