The Group's principal activity is providing temporary staffing services, managed services and permanent placement services. It operates in two segments: Staffing Services and Professional Services. The Staffing services segment provides temporary staffing like clerical, light industrial, information technology, finance and accounting, engineering and administrative skill sets. The Professional Services operating segment provides temporary staffing and permanent placement of employees that specialize in information technology, finance and accounting, engineering and administrative. It operates over 742 locations within North America. As of December 28, 2008, the Group had 504 company-owned offices, 101 franchised locations and 66 area-based franchised locations.
