The Group's principal activity is to acquire, own and manage self-storage properties. The Group is a real estate investment trust (REIT) that acquires, owns and manages self-storage properties. At 15-Feb-2009, the Group operates 385 self-storage facilities in 24 states. The Group's self-storage facilities offer fully enclosed storage space to residential and commercial users. It also offers outside storage for automobiles, recreational vehicles and boats. The Group has been approved as a real estate investment by the internal revenue code of 1986.
