The Group's principal activities to develop, manufacture, purchase and distribute broadest range of high quality biochemicals and organic chemicals available in the world. These chemical products and kits of the Group are used in scientific and genomic research, biotechnology, chemical industry and pharmaceutical development and for the diagnosis of diseases. The Group products are sold under various brand names such as, Sigma, Aldrich, Fluka, Riedel-de Haen and Supelco. In 2008, the products of the Group were sold to approximately one million customers including hospitals, universities, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical companies, private and government research laboratories. The Group operates in 37 countries.
