The Group's principal activity is providing security services for all types of companies and industries. The Group operates through four business areas: Security Services Europe, Security Services North America, Loomis and Mobile & Monitoring. The Security Services in NA and Europe provided specialized stationary and patrol services, receptionist services, time sharing services and combined solutions in their respective markets. The segment also supplies custom-designed technical systems to customers with high security demands such as banks, integrated alarm systems for large customers and alarm-to-response concepts for chain customers. The Mobile & Monitoring segment provides mobile services for small to medium sized companies and electronic alarm services. The Loomis segment provides cash handling services for commercial banks, central banks and retail shops. The Group has operations in Europe and North and South America. In 2008 the Group acquired 14 companies.
