The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and market products for chip-forming machining industries. The Group's product areas are divided into milling, turning, drilling, tool holding systems and service products. The Milling business area includes milling cutters and inserts for milling in material such as soft steel or easy-to-machine aluminium and difficult-to-machine super alloys. The milling cutters and inserts include applications from milling of small components in small machining centres to heavy-duty-milling in high power milling machines. The Turning System includes coated and uncoated turning inserts for threading. The Drilling System includes solid carbide drills, brazed carbide tipped drills, seco crownloc and perfomax indexable drills. The Tool Holding System is the link between the spindle and the tool. The Group operates globally.On 05-May- 2008, the Group acquired ALG based in Russia.
