| The Group's principal activity is to develop and commercialize of monoclonal antibody-based therapies for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune disease. Its antibody-based products that have been approved for the treatment of cancer include six engineered monoclonal antibodies (Rituxan(R), Herceptin(R), Campath(R), Avastin(R), Erbitux(R) and Vectibix(R)), two radionuclide-conjugated monoclonal antibodies (Zevalin(R), Bexxar(R) and an antibody-drug conjugate Mylotarg(R). It has three product candidates in ongoing clinical trials: dacetuzumab (SGN-40), lintuzumab (SGN-33) and SGN-70. Currently the Group has three preclinical programs, SGN-75, AGS-5 ADC and SGN-19A. The Group has collaborations with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including Genentech Inc, Bayer Pharmaceuticals Corporation, CuraGen Corporation, Progenics Pharmaceuticals Inc, Daiichi Sankyo Co Ltd and MedImmune Inc, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca Inc. It operates in the United States. |
