The Company's principal activity is that of an Investment Trust Company. The objective of the company is to provide real growth of income, being growth of income in excess of the rate of inflation, and capital growth as a consequence of the rising income. The Company is an Investment Company within the meaning of Section 833 of the Companies Act 2006. The Company has been approved by the United Kingdom Inland Revenue as an Investment Trust for the purposes of Section 842 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988 for the year ended 31-Aug-2007. Investment management services are provided by Schroder Investment Management Ltd for a fee calculated at the rate of 10% per annum of the net revenue for the year after taxation plus 0.375% on assets up to and including 75 million, 0.35% on the next 50 million and 0.325% on assets in excess of 125 million. The agreement is terminable by either party on 12 months' written notice.
