It operates in four segments: Children's Book Publishing and Distribution; Educational Publishing; Media, Licensing and Advertising and International. The Group creates educational materials and products for use in school and at home, including children's books, textbooks, magazines, technology-based products, teacher materials, television programming, videos and toys. The products and services are distributed through a variety of channels, including school-based book clubs, school-based book fairs, school-based and direct-to-home continuity programs, retail stores, schools, libraries, television networks and the Internet. Some of the original publications are Harry Potter(R), I SpyTM, Captain Underpants(R), Clifford The Big Red Dog(R) and Gooseb. The Group has operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. |
