The Group's principal activities are manufacturing and supplying components and systems for the mechanical, engineering, shipping, oil and gas industries. The Group operates through three segments: Steel, Marine Systems and Oil and Gas. The Steel segment products are manufactured at smelting plants, forges, rolling mills, foundries and casting facilities for machining and heat treatment units. The Marine Systems segment manufactures and supplies controllable pitch propellers, reduction gear and rudders as well as being involved in electronics and automation. The Group has operations in the Nordic countries, Germany, Great Britain and China. In 2008, the Group acquired Scana Offshore Services Inc.
