The Group's principal activities are in commercial banking with complementary activities in global wholesale banking, cards, asset management and insurance through its wholly owned subsidiary, Banco Santander Puerto Rico. It operates in five segments: Commercial Banking, Mortgage Banking, Consumer Finance, Treasury and Investments, and Wealth Management. Commercial Banking segment focuses on satisfying the total financial needs of its customers through specialized retail and wholesale banking services. Mortgage Banking segment originates, sells, and services a variety of residential mortgage loans. Consumer Finance segment provides consumer loans and real estate-secured loans through its 64 consumer retail branches in Puerto Rico. Treasury and Investments segment handles its investment portfolio and liquidity position. Wealth Management segment includes asset management and other trust services. The Group operates through a network of 57 branches and 169 ATMs.
