The Group's principal activity is to produce tools, mining and construction equipment and steel products. The Group operates under four business segments: Tooling, Mining & Construction, Materials Technology and Seco Tools. The Tooling segment produces tools and tooling systems for metal cutting, blanks and components in cemented carbide. The Mining and Construction segment produces special machinery, cemented-carbide tools and services for excavation of rock and materials in mining and construction industry. The Materials and Technology segment produces special alloys and resistance heating materials. The Group has operations in Europe, South America, Asia and Australia. In 2007, the Group seven new subsidiaries.
