| The Group's principal activity is to distribute professional beauty supplies in the United States. The Group operates through its Sally Beauty Supply and Beauty Systems Group business units. The Group provides its customers with a wide variety of leading third-party branded and private label professional beauty supplies, including hair care products, styling appliances, skin and nail care products and other beauty items. Sally Beauty Supply stores target retail consumers and salon professionals, while Beauty Systems Group exclusively targets salons and salon professionals. At 30-Sep-2007, it operated a multi-channel platform of 3,368 stores and supplied 200 franchised stores in North America as well as selected European countries and Japan. The Group operates in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Japan, Ireland and Germany. On 15-Feb-2007, it acquired Salon Services. |
