The Group's principal activities are to develop, manufacture and deliver advanced products and services for the defence, aviation and space technology. The Group operates through three segments: Defence and Security Solutions, Systems and Products and Aeronautics. Defence and Security Solutions comprises advanced command and control and communication systems for military and civilian applications. Systems and Products comprises systems, products and components for defence and aviation. Aeronautics comprises extensive military and civilian aeronautics operations and is dominated by the Gripen program but also includes unmanned aerial vehicles. The Group operates in the following geographical areas Sweden, Rest of EU, Rest of Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia and Africa. The Group sold Saab Space in 2008.
