The Group's principal activity is to manufacture & supply semi-conductors. The Group operates under four segments: Automotive Consumer Computer & Infrastructure, Industrial & Multi-segment, Wireless Products & Flash Memory. Under Automotive Consumer Computer the Group offers conductors such as audio decoders, processor ICs, digital & analog processors, converters, multimedia processors & audio amplifiers. Under Industrial & Multi-segment, it develops & manufactures discrete power devices, standard linear & logic ICs & radio frequency products. Under wireless sector, it manufactures wireless products. It also maintains and develops high-end analog products and microcontroller applications. Under Flash Memory, it conducts research and development and product-related activities, front and back-end manufacturing, marketing and sales. The Group operates mainly in Europe, the United States and Asia Pacific region. In 2008, it acquired Genesis Microchip & NXP Wireless.
