| The Group's principal activities are to develop, produce and market Intraocular Lenses and other products for minimally invasive ophthalmic surgery. The products include silicone and Collamer IOLs, the Preloaded Injector, a three-piece silicone IOL preloadedinto a single-use disposable injector, the SonicWAVEtm Phacoemulsification System, STAARVISCtm II, a viscoelastic material, and Cruise Control. The Group sells its products worldwide to ophthalmologists, surgical centers, hospitals, managed care providers, health maintenance organizations, group purchasing organizations and government facilities. It also sells other instruments, devices and equipment manufactured or supplied from other manufacturers in the ophthalmic industry. The Group operates in the United States, Germany, Canada and Australia. |
