The Group's principal activity is the production of commercial steel. The Group operates through five segments; SSAB Strip Products, SSAB Plate, SSAB North America, Tibnor and Other. The SSAB Strip Products includes hot and- cold rolled, metal-coated and organic-coated steel sheeting mainly for the engineering, automotive and construction industries. SSAB Plate manufactures heavy plate in grades ranging from quenched steel, construction steel and abrasion-resistant steels. SSAB North America is a supplier of plate in North America. Tibnor sells and distributes steel, non-ferrous metals and industrial supplies. The Group operates in Sweden, EU-27, Rest of Europe, North America, Asia and Rest of the World. The Group acquired Plannja SRL in 2008.
