The Group's principal activity is to operate wireless communication towers. It operates in 47 of the 48 contiguous United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. It operates in three segments: site leasing, site development consulting, and site development construction. The Site development segment offers assistance in site acquisition, zoning approvals, technical services and construction. The Site leasing segment leases antenna space on towers to a variety of wireless service providers. The site development business consists of two segments, site development consulting and site development construction, through which it provide wireless service providers a full range of end-to-end services.At 31-Dec-2008 the Group owned 7,854 towers. The major customers include AT&T Wireless, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
