| The Group's principal activity is to develop, manufacture and sell monocrystalline sapphire and other innovative crystalline products for LEDs, RFICs, blue laser diodes, optoelectronics and other optical applications. It manufactures high-quality sapphire substrates and optical windows that are used in a variety of high-growth, high-volume end-market applications. It has developed six inch sapphire wafers that are used for Silicon-on-Sapphire ('SOS') RFICs, as well as products for military, aerospace, sensor and other applications. The in-house capabilities enable the Group to design, assemble and maintain proprietary crystal growth furnaces to grow high purity, low-stress, ultra low defect density sapphire crystals. |
