The Group's products focuses on property, casualty, motor and household insurance. It offers a range of life insurance and asset accumulation products as well as savings and pensions products. It also conducts complementary businesses in support of its insurance operations such as risk management services including claims management and loss control services in its major markets around the globe. The Group operates in the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Argentina, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Singapore, Sweden, Uruguay and Venezuela. On 31 October 2007 and 31 December 2007, the Group acquired the entire share capital of Thomson Jemmett Vogelzang and Canadian Northern Shield Insurance Co respectively. |
