| The Group's principal activity is to provide international and domestic contract drilling services. It also owns and operates a manufacturing division that produces equipment for the drilling, mining and timber industries. The Group operates through two segments: Drilling and Manufacturing. The Drilling segment provides contract drilling of oil and gas wells, both onshore and offshore. The Manufacturing segment manufactures and markets heavy equipment for the mining and transportation, alloy steel and drilling products. The Group has drilling operations in the Gulf of Mexico, the Middle East, the North Sea, offshore eastern Canada and in Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The Group has international operations in Canada and Europe. |
