The Group's principal activities are the provision of components and plasma process equipment. The Group's services include consulting, equipment design and construction, assembly, software development, development and application of plasma and ion beam techniques, as well as onsite commissioning and after sales service. The Group operates through two divisions. The Photovoltaic division is engaged in the production of plasma process systems for the coating of crystalline silicon solar cells. The Plasma and Ion Beam Technology division produces plasma and ion beam sources and process system solutions for surface processing in the microelectronics, nanotechnology, optics, medical technology, textile technology and automotive engineering sectors. The Group operates in Germany, Rest of Europe, USA, Asia and Other Countries. The Group took over TECHNOFIMES S.R.L as of 1 January 2009.
