| Rompetrol Rafinare SA is a Romania-based refinery that specializes in the oil and gas refining and marketing industry. The Company operates two refineries, Petromidia of Navodari and Vega of Ploiesti. It processes a variety of crude oils with high sulfur. Its production range includes vehicle fuels like gasoline and diesel, Jet A-1 fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, petroleum coke and petroleum sulfur, as well as medium and heavy oils used as heating fuel, such as heavy solvent, slurry and fuel oil. Through the Rompetrol Downstream distribution network and other retail and wholesale distribution networks, it distributes its products in Romania, Georgia, Ukraine, Turkey, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Greece, Moldova, Serbia, Hungary and Egypt. The Company has five subsidiaries: Rompetrol Logistics SRL, Rompetrol Petrochemicals SRL, ROM OIL SA, Rompetrol Quality Control SRL and Rompetrol Downstream SRL. As of December 31, 2009, Rompetrol Group NV holds a 50.5924% stake in Rompetrol Rafinare SA. |
