The Group's principle activity is the production of solar grade silicon and wafers for solar applications. The Group operates inn four segments: REC Solicon, REC Wafer, REC Solar and Other. REC Silicon is focused on production of solar grade polysilicon for the photovoltaic industry and electronic grade polysilicon and silane gas for the electronics industry. REC Wafer produces multicrystalline wafers for the solar cell industry. REC Solar produces solar cells and solar cell modules. Other consists of companies and activities that are not significant enough to be reported as separate segments. The Group mainly operates in Norway and the United States.
